Title: Finance Manager

Salary: £75 - 80k

Location: South West London- 4 days per week

Finatal is working with a £35million turnover retail company who are looking for a Finance Manager to join their team. You will have overall responsibility to oversee and enhance financial operations, focusing on cash management, payroll, cash flow, and balance sheet integrity. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of the business.

Responsibilities

Cash & Liquidity Management: Monitor and manage daily cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations and strategic initiatives.

Payroll Oversight: Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, liaising with third-party providers as necessary.

Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, highlighting key variances and trends.

Balance Sheet Management: Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Team Leadership: Lead and develop a small finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal departments and external partners, including third-party retailers and tax advisors, to align financial strategies with business objectives.

Tax Compliance: Coordinate with the Irish branch to ensure compliance with tax regulations and optimise tax strategies.

Inventory & Property Income: Manage financial aspects related to stock and property income, ensuring accurate reporting and optimisation of asset utilisation.

Qualifications/ skills required:

Must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA)

Proven experience in finance management within the retail, fashion, or leisure sectors, with a strong understanding of multi-site operations.

Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.

Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a finance team, driving performance and continuous improvement.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to financial management and problem-solving.
