Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant will serve as the first point of contact for the Middle School. The position will be responsible for supporting the Director, Deans, and faculty with their daily needs, receiving visitors, and answering phones. This is a 12-month, full-time position, Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. The Administrative Assistant reports to the Middle School Director.
Essential Responsibilities
Perform general office duties including, but not limited to:
Serve as the receptionist, including greeting and directing visitors and answering or returning phone calls
Engage with students, faculty, staff, and parents in a positive and professional manner
Provide proactive and responsive clerical and administrative support to the Middle School Director, Deans, and faculty as requested
Assist with special projects
Operate office equipment such as copiers and phone systems and arrange for repairs as needed
Perform clerical assignments involving word processing, data entry, report preparation, and scheduling
Maintain complete and accurate paper and electronic files
Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least three years of experience providing administrative support, preferably in an educational setting
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and possess a willingness to learn new systems and web tools
Experience with Veracross and Canvas is a plus
Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Ability to multitask, prioritize, manage projects, and meet deadlines
