Student Worker, IT Service Desk (Summer)
Allied Mineral Products is a leading manufacturer of monolithic refractories worldwide. We are seeking a Student Worker, IT Service Desk (Summer) to support the infrastructure team in all requests and incidents. Supplements user support through tickets under direct supervision by infrastructure personnel. Supports staff for network, hardware, and software issues. Duties include installing and maintaining computer systems including software and hardware on desktops and laptops, resolving internet and network access issues (both wired and wireless), and providing network printer support.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Fulfilling task assigned by Infrastructure personnel
Provide technical assistance to staff and customers on hardware and software-related issues
Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems, hardware, and software
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues
Follow established procedures and processes for computer maintenance
Research and recommend solutions for technical problems
Perform other duties/projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be available to work at least 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Must have strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with MS Office/MS O365
Able to work effectively in a team environment.
Must be dependable and punctual.
High level of professionalism and maturity.
