Job Title: Ticketing and Events Specialist
Location: ONSITE, OKC OK
Employment Status: Full Time hourly non exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
The Ticketing and Events Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Museum’s Ticketing database. This role not only supports our multi-venue ticketing, but provides training, assistance and support to all the users of our Tessitura database, many with competing priorities and objectives. The person in this role will work closely with business systems database administration and maintenance, technical support, and troubleshooting. Strong communication and presentation skills are critical as this person must be able to train, share knowledge and articulate technical details in a clear and succinct manner for users with non-technical backgrounds.
This position requires a detail-oriented, highly organized team player with excellent interpersonal skills. The right person will have a friendly and positive approach to working with others; motivated by finding workable solutions to difficult problems and enabling others to achieve objectives
UTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as an expert resource for all issues relating to Tessitura and related applications; working with users to troubleshoot and ensure proper functionality between Tessitura and websites.
Research, explore and assess feasibility of technical requirements for projects and customizations.
Lead Tessitura facility/product/event set-up; including, but not limited to pricing, pricing rules, promotions, fees, allocations, etc.
Create and maintain system, training and change management documentation.
Develop, lead, and facilitate both regular and ad-hoc Tessitura individual and group training sessions (in-person & video conference), including user set-up and onboarding.
Provide critical support, as necessary, after normal business hours and on weekends/holidays.
Actively engage with the larger Tessitura community focused on the exchange of best practices, ideas, end user adoption and knowledge sharing.
Collaborate and work effectively with multiple organizations, diverse team members, vendors and other stakeholders, as well as work independently.
Manages OTA (online ticket agents) sites to ensure products are listed and on sale and line up with pricing and available discounts approved by revenue leadership.
Successfully manage multiple priorities including projects, tasks and help desk tickets.
Other duties assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge
Education: High School Diploma; college degree a plus.
Skills / Core Competencies
2-3 years’ experience with Tessitura or similar software strongly preferred.
Skilled in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel & PowerPoint), SharePoint and OneDrive.
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation/training skills.
Attention to detail and strong time management required.
