IT System Administrator
Job Summary:
Supports IFA IT environment in the areas of system/network administration, security, desktop support and communications. Provides support to the IT Supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
System/Network administration
Maintain system/network security and patch management systems
Diagnose and troubleshoot proprietary barcode printers
Diagnose and troubleshoot radio frequency barcode scanners
Support VoIP telephony system
Desktop troubleshooting and support (2nd - 3rd Tier Helpdesk support)
Assist in budget creation and project management for IT activities
Assist in maintaining IP security camera system
Ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to

Additional Responsibilities:
Policy and procedure document creation
IT equipment inventory management
Provide support for Internet monitoring
Provide assistance for special projects such as projectors, public address systems, and radio communications
Android/iPhone mobile phone support
Provide assistance for backup and recovery of servers
Work with outside groups (i.e., IFA Germany) to troubleshoot problems
Coordinate IT related activities with 3rd party contractors
Provide recommendations for current and future IT needs
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science / information technology or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Experience:
Minimum 5-7 years’ experience supporting a Windows networking environment
Minimum 2 years of experience as a System Administrator, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Experience administering Windows Server products
Experience configuring and deploying Cisco infrastructure and telephony equipment
Experience with VMware and installing and maintaining virtualized systems
Experience with SAN technologies
Experience with firewall support
Experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN’s,
Experience with barcode and label printing technologies
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to walk/move about a 190,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility: 90% of the time
Must be able to stand/walk/move about specific work area: 75% of the time
Must be able to bend/reach/twist/stoop: 40% of the time
Must be able to lift up to 30lbs on a frequent basis: 30% of the time
Must be able to lift over 30lbs on an infrequent basis: 10% of the time
Must be able to push/pull materials using motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment on an infrequent basis: 20% of the time
Must be able to sit at a work station: 80% of the time
Must be able to work and operate a computer terminal: 80% of the time
Vision is required to analyze and process work; and to work on computer terminal/machine centers, etc.
Hearing is essential for safety reasons; and to communicate with employees, supervisors, managers, vendors, suppliers and customers via conversation, group meetings, and/or phone conferences
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
