University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a full-time Project Manager to support the Department of Pathology located at the Clinical Lab Building: 1st Floor, Room 1011 3477 Euler Way Pittsburgh, PA 15213. This role will work regular daylight hours.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain detailed project plans, this includes utilizing standard project documentation and methodology and project tracking and reporting procedures. Develop cross-functional, change management and implementation strategies; ensure that all of the participating parties have committed to effective implementation of the processes and procedures. Provide concise and timely status reporting as required. Develop and implement key metrics to measure and report on progress of initiatives. Assist team members in resolving project problems, escalates issues when necessary, and facilities decision-making. Identify trends and process improvement opportunities across departments within operations. Monitor operating performance against regional and national benchmarks. Provide internal direction, leadership, and accountability for Department of Pathology outreach contracting and client relations efforts. Develop, manage, and maintain institutional contracting workflows including oversight of contract creation and maintenance. Maintain test schedules and employer codes prior to invoicing, assist with tax review for international clients, and manage AR follow-up and revenue collection for consult invoicing. Responsible for client customer service, including vendor and ACH packets, billing questions and dispute resolution for both external institutions and UPMC non-urban hospitals. Perform cost/benefit analysis Assure quality of information through business case and application-level testing; validate test results to initial business needs. Assist with achieving Operations division strategic goals as well as system strategic goals. Work with other managers to achieve efficiencies across integration of projects.

Management of Institutional contracting with external clients, including new MSAs & amended agreements, contracting policy development, and legal liason with system attorneys

Creation of institutional accounts in applicable EMR and billing systems. UPMC and UPP finance liason for pricing

Agreement tracking and client documentation, including maintaining MSA tracker spreadsheet, maintaining PC account spreadsheet and refreshing Power BI dashboard.

Maintain test schedules and employer codes prior to invoicing, assist with tax review for international clients, and manage AR follow-up and revenue collection

Client customer service, including vendor and ACH packets, billing questions and dispute resolution for both external clients and UPMC non-urban hospitals

Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, statistics, health care, management, or related business field required.

Minimum of four years of related work experience.

Master's degree preferred.

Experience in health care insurance or health care industry preferred.

Excellent computer skills required, including Access, Excel, Microsoft Project, and other pertinent computer software packages.

Strong management, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written) are required.

Excellent Project Management skills along with effective planning and organizational skills.

Ability to perform planning for large initiatives/projects, managing all tasks required to providing services to meet client and business needs within budget and targeted deadlines. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
