Job Description

In this role, you will be a critical member of the hardware validation team, responsible for testing and validating analog, digital, and embedded sub-systems for various products. This will require close cooperation with the design and integration teams. The ideal candidate must possess strong validation experience.

Responsibilities

Test and validate analog, digital, and embedded sub-systems for various products.

Collaborate closely with design and integration teams to ensure seamless validation processes.

Develop requirements, plans, and procedures for product design verification.

Execute verification plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure proper functioning of hardware designs.

Troubleshoot and debug board-level electrical circuits.

Prepare hardware for testing, including hands-on soldering of through-hole and surface-mount components.

Essential Skills

Solid understanding of EE and test fundamentals with emphasis on power electronics

Experience with design or test of circuit boards with complex microcontrollers, system-on-chip (SOCs), or FPGAs

Experience with design or test of communication busses, switching power supplies, electric motors, IMUs, sensors, RF, and high-speed electrical signal characterization

Experience with definition of test requirements or development of manufacturing test equipment.

Experience with development of acceptance, production and qualification test plans and associated aerospace standards (GEVS / SMC-S-016)

Experience with development of automated test systems

Proven experience in design verification for hardware systems, including experience with board-level debugging and analysis

Experience with incoming calibration checks and developing calibration procedures

Experience in reviewing requirements to support various test phases

Experience as the technical lead, leading small groups of other test engineers across multiple designs

Hands-on experience with IO bring-up and compliance testing for protocols such as SPI, QSPI, I2C, I3C, and CAN bus

Familiarity with programming languages used in automation, such as Python, C, or similar

Familiarity with schematic and PCB layout tools (e.g., EDM, Expedition, Altium, or similar)

Familiar with Linux commands or experience

Able to work with cross functional teams and collaborate with design engineers

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

5+ years of experience in board-level design verification for aerospace, automotive, or consumer electronics products

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Strong hands-on soldering skills

Proven experience in design verification for hardware systems

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr.
