Structural Engineer Atlanta, GA
Our client, a well-established civil, structural, and investigative engineering firm with a national footprint, is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join its growing team in Atlanta, Georgia. This position offers exposure to a broad range of project types and structural materials, with opportunities to contribute to new building designs as well as existing building investigations and retrofits.
This role is ideal for a motivated engineer who is ready to work collaboratively, build industry relationships, and develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform engineering calculations, develop drawings, and contribute to construction administration
Produce structural models and drawings using Revit; supervise and review work of BIM technicians
Participate in site visits and perform field observations
Interact directly with owners, architects, and contractors
Conduct quality control checks of engineering documentation
Coordinate structural designs with multi-disciplinary teams
Respond to RFIs and review shop drawings
Serve as a mentor to junior engineers and EITs
Required Qualifications:
Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
BS in Civil or Structural Engineering, plus 4–6 years of progressive engineering experience
(MSCE or MSAE may count as one year of experience)
Preferred Qualifications:
PE licensure in Georgia
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience designing and detailing small to medium-sized projects
Demonstrated ability to manage projects within schedule and budget constraints
Experience supporting projects from design to construction completion
Time management skills and commitment to professional growth
Membership in professional or technical societies
Completion of the 16-hour Structural Engineering Exam (SE license)
