Salary: $57,000–$65,000/year (flexible based on experience)
Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking a Litigation Docketing Assistant to join their San Diego office. This position supports the litigation team by managing docketing and calendaring across state, federal, and appellate courts. The ideal candidate has experience in a legal environment, understands court procedures, and is comfortable handling high-volume deadlines with accuracy and urgency.
Responsibilities:
Review and process docketing requests and related court documents.
Calculate and calendar litigation deadlines for multiple jurisdictions.
Maintain docket entries and ensure data accuracy.
Monitor court rule updates and procedural changes.
Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure timely filings and compliance.
Support the docketing team by managing inboxes and distributing reports.
Qualifications:
3+ years of litigation and/or docketing experience.
Law firm experience required.
Familiarity with federal, state, and appellate court rules and procedures.
Experience using rules-based calendaring software (preferred).
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Comfortable managing competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and follow-through skills
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $57,000–$65,000/year (based on experience)
