We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations of our organization in Shelby, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting, financial planning, and reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance in all financial matters. This role demands a proactive leader who can streamline processes, analyze financial data, and support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the organization's financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Oversee budget preparation, forecasting, and financial reporting to support business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal auditing standards.
• Lead the implementation and optimization of accounting software systems and tools.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute strategic financial plans.
• Monitor cash flow, investments, and other financial transactions to maintain organizational stability.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, including management and external auditors.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with external partners, such as auditors and financial institutions, to ensure smooth operations.• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems, including 3M, ADP, and CRM tools.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting tools like Crystal Reports.
• Expertise in core accounting functions, including AP, AR, and auditing.
• Demonstrated experience in managing budget processes and financial planning.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
