Job Description
Bryce Space and Technology is seeking a highly skilled Senior Media/Video Technician Level II to support the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)) at the Department of Defense. As a Senior Media/Video Technician, you will manage and produce video content for senior DoD leadership events, briefings, and communications. You will be responsible for filming, editing, and live-streaming events and ensuring the technical quality and security compliance of all media assets.
Customer Background Information: The Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)) serves as the principal advisor to the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Defense on all matters related to acquisition, sustainment, logistics, industrial policy, and defense procurement across the Department of Defense (DoD). OUSD(A&S) is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing policies that enable the delivery of defense capabilities effectively, efficiently, and affordably in support of national security objectives.
OUSD(A&S) leads initiatives to modernize acquisition processes, strengthen the defense industrial base, promote innovation, and ensure the lifecycle sustainment of military systems. The office also provides oversight of key areas including supply chain resilience, operational energy, environmental and safety compliance, and materiel readiness to maintain military effectiveness and global competitiveness.
Minimum Knowledge and Description of the work:
Operate video cameras, lighting, audio equipment, and streaming platforms for live and recorded DoD events.
Edit video and audio for post-production using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or Final Cut Pro.
Set up and support virtual and hybrid meetings using platforms such as Microsoft Teams, ZoomGov, or VTC systems.
Must be highly proficient in using Video Conference Room equipment, Satellite, and the Microsoft Office Suites to incldue Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Manage media storage, archiving, and file transfer in accordance with DoD security protocols.
Maintain and troubleshoot A/V systems, and make recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements.
Provide support for presentation materials, including slide decks and digital signage.
Qualifications
Associate or bachelor’s degree in media production, communications, or related field.
Must have outstanding customer service abilities to include initiative, judgement, creativity, flexibility, and confidence.
Must have the ability to multi-task across multiple projects.
5+ years of professional experience in multimedia production, preferably supporting federal clients or the military.
Strong technical proficiency with professional audio/video gear and editing software.
Experience supporting high-level executive or governmental events.
Knowledge of DoD security practices related to media and information handling.
Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a Secret security clearance.
Educational Requirements: Associates or BA/BS from an accredited college or university
Experience Requirements: 5 years of relative experience
