We are looking for a highly skilled Senior General Counsel to join our team in Carrollton, Texas. This role requires an experienced and detail-oriented legal expert with over a decade of expertise in construction law to support strategic business objectives and provide expert legal counsel. The ideal candidate will excel in contract negotiations, policy development, and delivering practical legal solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement corporate policies and procedures to ensure compliance and alignment with business goals.

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and legal documents with precision and attention to detail.

• Collaborate with the Vice President, General Counsel, and legal team on strategic initiatives and complex legal matters.

• Oversee and manage relationships with external legal counsel for corporate, employment, and specialized projects.

• Design and deliver training programs to educate employees on critical legal issues and best practices.

• Provide expert guidance on interpreting financial and legal documents to support business decisions.

• Respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies and business stakeholders with professionalism and expertise.

• Present complex legal strategies and recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner.

• Conduct thorough research and analysis to support legal positions and decision-making processes.

• Balance multiple priorities effectively while adapting to evolving business needs and challenges.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in legal practice, with a strong emphasis on corporate and construction law.

• Demonstrated expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, particularly in construction and commercial projects.

• Must be a graduate from an accredited law school with a JD Degree

• Member in good standing of the Texas Bar

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal concepts effectively.

• Proven ability to manage relationships with external counsel and provide strategic guidance on legal matters.

• Adept at handling inquiries from regulatory agencies and responding to business concerns with sound judgment.

• Flexible and responsive to shifting business priorities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
