Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Controls Account Executive to join their team in South Florida. This role focuses on selling and managing building automation system (BAS) projects, supporting HVAC performance, and working with clients across commercial sectors such as hospitals, universities, and office buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in controls and a successful track record in both sales and project oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

Sell building automation and HVAC control solutions in Dade and Broward County.

Manage BAS projects from proposal through completion, ensuring client satisfaction.

Support system operations including VAV boxes, air handlers, and BAS power consumption analysis.

Engage with building engineers and technicians, especially in older commercial buildings.

Build and maintain relationships with clients in hospitals, universities, and commercial office spaces.

Work closely with internal project managers and technicians, including direct collaboration with Christ (team member).

Report to the Senior Controls Manager on project status, client feedback, and sales performance.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years of experience in controls and building automation systems.

Background in HVAC controls with hands-on or technical experience.

Proven success in technical sales, account management, or project management.

Experience in older building environments is preferred.

Familiarity with BAS energy efficiency and power consumption.

Local to South Florida with knowledge of the regional market and infrastructure.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Experience:

Previous experience as a Controls Project Manager, Account Executive, or Project Engineer in the building automation industry.

Technical proficiency with HVAC systems and BAS integration.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in controls and building automation systems.

• Demonstrated success in technical sales, account management, or project management.

• Strong technical knowledge of building automation controls, including hands-on experience.

• Familiarity with energy efficiency practices and power consumption analysis.

• Experience working in older commercial building environments is preferred.

• Proficiency in CRM tools and other sales-related platforms.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.

• Knowledge of the local market and infrastructure in South Florida.
