Job Title: Production Operator - Nutritional Department - $21+/hr

Job Description

Join our team as a Production Operator in the Nutritional Department, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our yeast products are processed and packaged accurately and efficiently. We are looking for candidates for 1st and 3rd shifts to maintain the quality and safety of our operations.

Responsibilities

Perform sanitation tasks on equipment, infrastructure, grounds, and other designated areas.

Monitor quality assurance controls during the production process.

Conduct product analysis, weight checks, and code data verification.

Record and maintain accurate written and electronic information.

Comply with safety, GMP, food safety, and other rules or policies.

Operate equipment safely and efficiently.

Inspect infrastructure and equipment, notifying management when maintenance is required.

Assist in troubleshooting equipment and process problems.

Operate a forklift as needed, certification not required prior to starting.Essential Skills

Minimum of 2 years of experience in production or manufacturing.

Strong mechanical aptitude.

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Capable of standing on feet for up to 12 hours at a time.

Experience with troubleshooting and mechanical operations.

Familiarity with machine operation.Work Environment

Our production facility specializes in yeast manufacturing, where safety is a top priority. The environment is very hot, often exceeding 100 degrees in the production room. Employees must be able to handle the heat and stand for long periods. Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and extreme weather conditions is expected. The facility operates on a unique schedule: two days on, two days off, three days on, three days off, including alternating weekends. Shifts are from 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am. Dress code includes steel toe boots, lab coat and pants, hair/beard net, and safety gear.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
