We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Generalist to join our team in Edgewood, Maryland. In this role, you will provide comprehensive human resources support across all levels of the organization, helping to drive key initiatives in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on expertise to enhance employee engagement and align HR practices with organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver strategic and operational HR support to leadership, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and values.

• Address employee relations matters, provide guidance on performance management, and assist with disciplinary actions and goal-setting processes.

• Develop and implement competitive compensation strategies, including salary assessments and market analysis.

• Collaborate with recruitment teams to oversee hiring strategies, talent reviews, and predictive staffing efforts.

• Monitor staffing levels and turnover rates, offering recommendations on workforce planning and departmental budgets.

• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting requirements.

• Provide counsel to employees and managers on HR policies, sensitive personnel matters, and employee development opportunities.

• Facilitate recruitment activities such as screening candidates, conducting interviews, extending job offers, and managing applicant records.

• Manage HR systems and generate reports using tools like UltiPro, ensuring accurate data-driven insights.

• Lead HR improvement projects and initiatives to enhance systems, processes, and organizational practices.• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field preferred; HR certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR are a plus.

• Minimum of five years of HR experience, with expertise in employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and compliance.

• Strong knowledge of HR practices, legal regulations, and metrics to support organizational goals.

• High ethical standards, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality in all HR matters.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.

• Proficiency in HRIS systems like UltiPro or UKG Pro, along with advanced Microsoft Office skills.

• Experience in compensation strategy development, talent acquisition, and workforce planning.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
