Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations and contribute to strategic decision-making for our organization in Vidalia, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning, budgeting, and operational efficiency, with a demonstrated ability to manage audits and inventory processes. This role offers an opportunity to lead financial initiatives while supporting purchasing and supplier relationship management.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage the organization's operating budget, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Oversee month-end and year-end financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and finalize comprehensive financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and implement cost-saving strategies to improve operational efficiency and drive growth.
• Lead and coordinate year-end audits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Support inventory management processes, including annual physical inventory and inventory planning.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to optimize purchasing operations.
• Collaborate with production teams to enhance financial processes related to manufacturing operations.
• Provide strategic guidance on financial planning and analysis to inform key business decisions.
• Monitor and evaluate financial performance, recommending improvements as needed.• A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, with a track record of leadership.
• Proficiency in creating and managing operating budgets and financial forecasts.
• Strong knowledge of month-end and year-end close processes, including financial statement preparation.
• Experience with operational audits and ensuring compliance with audit standards.
• Familiarity with inventory management, including annual physical inventory processes.
• Expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP& A) to support strategic initiatives.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other financial management tools.
• Background in manufacturing or production processes is highly desirable.
