Job Title: Mechanic

Job Description: Join our dynamic team as a Mechanic, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our packaging equipment and systems. Under general supervision, you'll perform routine troubleshooting, repairs, and conduct packaging line changeovers and mechanical setups according to the packaging schedule. Your expertise will help us maintain high efficiency and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and state, federal, and local laws.

Perform routine troubleshooting and repairs on packaging and processing equipment, including mechanical control systems.

Execute packaging line setups and changeovers to ensure seamless operations.

Essential Skills:

Mechanical expertise

Hydraulics knowledge

Machine setup proficiency

Packaging line experience

Packaging machine operation

Pneumatics understanding

Maintenance and repair skills

Troubleshooting abilities

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Legible handwriting and accurate documentation skills.

Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Strong organizational skills and ability to follow instructions.

Capability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.

Methodical and organized work approach with strong mental focus.

Mechanical orientation and understanding of common tools and PLCs.

Familiarity with equipment systems utilizing compressed air, electrical supply, vacuum, steam, chilled water, etc.

Basic computer skills, including data entry.

Associate degree or High School Diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment:

Sterile, cleanroom environment with air conditioning.

Three shifts available: Day Block A (Sunday-Thursday), Day Block B (Tuesday-Saturday).

Shift times: 1st shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM), 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM), 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM).

GMP training during the 1st shift from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, for the first week.

Job Type & Location:

Contract to Hire position based in Miramar, Florida

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
