Position Description
The Accounts Payable Administrative Assistant is responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of payments and process by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
Maintains accurate records of invoices, payments, vendors and contracts.
Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
Manage accounts payable by using accounting software and other programs.
Regularly update and maintain financial records and ensure accurate entry of data in accounting system.
Comparing and maintains contract information, prices, terms of payment and other charges
Performs monthly and quarterly audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Supports AP Department with accounts payable processing and research.
Maintains accurate records of accounting codes, invoices, payments, and vendors.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution.

Preferences
One (1) year of experience in accounting, accounts payable, or related field is preferred.
Experience with PeopleSoft/STARS is a plus.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office are desired.

Regular Full-time
Monday - Friday 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
Salary:
Depends on Qualifications
Based on 26 pay periods
Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.
