Description
Position title: Manufacturing Engineer Intern
Department: Manufacturing Engineering Manager: Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Pay Grade: 15 FLSA: Non-Exempt
Education:
Currently enrolled in or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field is required.
Previous Work Experience:
Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
Experience working in an ISO regulated environment is desirable.
Lean Six Sigma training or certification is desirable.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 25 pounds
Ability to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects
Visual strain at times due to prolonged exposure to computer monitor.
Essential Functions:
Support projects with Manufacturing Engineers.
Assist with understanding and interpreting specifications on drawings.
Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.
Execute IQ/OQ/PQ validation protocols.
Other duties as assigned.

Develop, design, or create new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products.
Apply logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with others.
Possess project management skills and manage multiple projects concurrently.
Demonstrated Competencies:
Execute a validation protocol and ensure it is properly documented
Create and complete a simple tooling or fixture design in a CAD program, and generate detailed drawings for assembly or fabrication (currently, using SolidWorks)
Effectively utilize and support ERP system (GSS), including pulling of data for analysis
Consistently maintain status tasks using project management software (Click Up)
