Description:

Inequities—whether due to race, gender, sexuality, or income—contribute to health and wellbeing disparities. These inequities are a major public health threat and demand a concerted, interdisciplinary effort. At the School of Social Work (SSW) within the College of Public Health, social justice has always driven our work: The understanding that individual outcomes are intricately tied to the larger systems we inhabit is the foundation of our school and college.

Temple University School of Social Work’s interprofessional culture fosters collaboration within the College of Public Health, the broader University community and neighbors. We value differences among our faculty and believe that we can better serve and understand our Philadelphia community through the diversity of our individual faculty and disciplines. Our work is grounded in creating social, family, and community environments and an infrastructure that will promote health and well-being.

Join us in our mission to develop progressive, compassionate practitioners, researchers, and clinicians to build a better tomorrow.

THE POSITION AND QUALIFICATIONS. The School of Social Work seeks to hire multiple non-tenure track instructional faculty at the Instructor or Assistant Professor of Instruction rank to teach in its undergraduate and graduate programs and to collaborate with interprofessional colleagues across the College.
