Thomas College seeks a dynamic and student-centered Assistant Director of Admissions to join our Admissions team. This full-time, 12-month position reports to the Director of Admissions and plays a pivotal role in recruiting prospective students, mentoring Admissions Counselors, and leading key initiatives and events.
In this role, you will:
Guide prospective students through the admissions funnel
Represent Thomas College at recruitment events, fairs, and high schools throughout New England
Organize and participate in group visits and high-profile events such as Thomas Cup and JMG
Provide specialized training and daily support to Admissions Counselors
Plan and manage Fall and Spring travel schedules
Collaborate with departments across campus, including Student Financial Services, Marketing, and Athletics
Maintain professional, student-first conduct and appearance at all times
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
Prior admissions experience and a strong understanding of the admissions process
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated leadership and training ability
Strong organizational and time management skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, CRM systems (especially Slate), and social media messaging tools
Ability to travel extensively, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for long periods
