About the Position:

As the Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery Analyst, you will support the organization’s business continuity planning, crisis management, and recovery readiness. You will also provide leadership in coordinating, assessing, developing and communicating recovery requirements and contingency plans associated with the company’s business units to protect the company in the event of an unforeseen disruption. Your position will drive the maturity of business continuity plans and compliance with regulatory requirements.

What You Will Do:

Support the development, implementation, and testing of Business Continuity Plans across departments.

Conduct Business Impact Analyses (BIA), and facilitate responses and remediation of gaps identified.

Collaborate with business teams to identify potential impacts of disruptive events and establish Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) for critical processes.

Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Track and manage assigned issues to resolution ensuring alignment with Business Continuity Policy (BCP) and risk framework requirements.

Support and customize potential software tools that enhance planning, notification, and incident awareness capabilities.

Create reports and training materials to support program initiatives and changes.

Participate in third-party service due diligence, joint testing, and policy compliance oversight.

Design and facilitate crisis management exercises, and tabletop simulations including after action reviews and reports.

Maintain documentation, program metrics, dashboards, and reporting for leadership and audit.

Align continuity processes with regulatory guidance and continuous improvement of program.

Remain abreast of new and emerging risk effecting financial institutions.

What We’re Looking For:

A minimum of one year of experience working in the foundational elements of Enterprise Risk Management, specifically in Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery required.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, risk management, or similar field of study preferred.

Experience in leading and actively participating in business recovery exercises preferred.

Strong understanding of continuity planning lifecycle, regulatory expectations and FFIEC IT Business Continuity Management Handbook.

Proven ability to make good decisions using analysis, experience and judgment.

Strong data analytical skills using Microsoft Excel and presentation skills using PowerPoint.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a high-quality work product.

Working Conditions/Demands:

Professional office setting.

Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer.

Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.

Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
