Safety Manager

Description

Due to Satterfield & Pontikes continued growth we are adding a Safety Manager to our Austin team. Reporting to our Safety Director you will focus on multiple projects in the Austin area. You will help teach out teams how to do better safety meetings, better job site safety walks, and review paperwork for compliance. You will be instrumental in helping teams build a strong safety culture.

Requirements:

3+ years in safety with a commercial general contractor.

Fluent in both English and Spanish preferred. The role you will play:

Employee and subcontractors safety-related meetings and presentations

Review all accident/incident investigation reports for completeness and accuracy

Publish lessons learned from near misses, accidents, and incidents

Oversee walk-through inspections at project sites with project personnel; provide technical guidance and expertise to Project Managers and Superintendents

Conduct comprehensive reviews of sites to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agency standards and company policies

Primary contact and responsible for direct communication with OSHA and all safety regulatory agencies

Develop programs for monitoring subcontractor safety performance

Regular job site attendance required

Other duties as assigned.
