The Processing Supervisor is responsible for leading a team which is responsible for validating, developing, and overseeing all aspects of a complete Robotic Turn-Key Process as well as to ensure all quality, cost, and efficiency requirements are met.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate the activities of team members within the Process group. Assign work projects, advise and mentor team members, provide technical expertise to problem solving needs
Evaluate product requirements and create operation systems for manufacturing the product
Develop new production methods using engineering fundamentals
Collaborate with vendors to evaluate & select the most suitable products for specific applications.
Develop plant layout to improve process flow and minimize material handling
Ensure project deliverables are coordinated and aligned consistently across the team.
Conduct capacity studies
Create/edit/maintain necessary process documentation
Review process for material savings, scrap reduction, material handling reduction and efficiency improvements
Monitor and improve the efficiency, output and safety of processes through observations and measurements as well as by collecting and interpreting data from other technical and operation personnel
Maintain and report project design and commissioning status to Manager through department documentation
Support the Manager in evaluating employee performance and provide feedback to supervisor for mid and end of year performance reviews
Participate in candidate interviewing and hiring
Understand company policies and procedures and ensure team adheres to these
Ensure compliance with safety procedures
Assist in accurate time reporting activities through the ERP system, while monitoring and instructing correct procedures
Perform all other duties, as assigned Requirements:
5+ year's work-related experience
Demonstrated leadership ability and organization skills
High School Diploma or GED equivalent, BS in engineering preferred
Understanding of GD&T
Ability to create system layouts in model space using AutoCAD & NX/Line Designer
Ability to create layout tabs for dimensioning equipment.
Ability to write cycle times, and how and where to use formula triggers for basic sequencing staging
Experience with BIW, MIG or Spot weld processes as well as other Fastening Techniques.
Knowledge of one or more of the following: Unigraphics/NX, Catia, & Auto Cad
Experience with one of the following Process Design, Process Simulate, FactoryCAD, Team Center, Line Designer.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong written and oral communication skills
Work Environment: This position operates in an office environment.
Direct reports: Yes, this position supervises a team of professionals on the processing team.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and be present on the plant floor or customer facility.
Expected Hours of Work: This position will require regular full time work including extended hours to meet the needs of the business.
