About the role
As a Project Manager at Ripple Fiber, you will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of assigned projects in coordination with engineering, construction and the PMO Team. The Project Manager will work closely with the Outside Plant Construction Team and 3rd party vendor partners to oversee the planning, engineering, procurement, permitting, construction and close-out activities associated with FTTH network deployment goals. This includes oversite and status reporting on multiple simultaneous projects using PMI recognized approach and techniques to achieve project objectives
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain detailed schedules for multiple, simultaneous (and often interdependent) network deployment projects or other assigned projects and actively running the scheduled tasks with internal and external stakeholders, directing and monitoring work efforts, identifying resource needs and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately.
Tracking key project milestones measuring progress towards goals, monitoring risks and analyzing implications of changes from the original schedule and taking required corrective actions to ensure the project stays on track.
Coordinates communication with all areas of the company that impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed.
Identify, capture, prioritize and resolve issues and/or action items as they arise during planning, procurement, design development, construction and closeout.
Monitor materials long lead purchases and any other 3rd party durations and dependencies that may impact the project timelines.
Provide regular project status reports to management and the project team throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate with key stakeholders to manage project start-up, planning, procurement, design development, pre-construction, and construction meetings.
Interface with outsource vendors of engineering and specialty construction services. Qualifications:
Five plus years' project management experience with cross-functional teams (internal and external) in FTTH Outside Plant (OSP) design and construction.
OSP Fiber Design and Construction (aerial/underground/FTTx) knowledge preferred.
Ability to manage and track multiple independent projects with varying milestones and deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work manage multiple projects and the varying complexities of each.
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft 365 platform. Exceptional experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software, Outlook email, and full utilization of Teams.
Professional demeanor and communication skills.
Proven ability to solve problems creatively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to effectively handle confidential information.
Demonstrated ability to effectively handle new and/or sensitive situations, and determine what actions are required.
Willingness to travel to local markets.
Compliance with company controls and processes.
Record of integrity, ethical, professional, and personal standards supported by references.
