Job Description Summary:

Expert or SME in at least one facet of Testing, DevOps, Automation, or Engineering. Expected to lead best practice, strategy, and decision making while continuing as a SME and key contributor for complex problems. Owns responsibility for researching and implementing best practice, and getting team buy-in and execution.

Responsibilities And Duties:

Test planning and strategy across several development teams for a concise and unified game plan of product validation, integration testing and performance testing.

Lead the adoption of common automation and testing frameworks and methodologies across software engineering teams.

Develop technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are innovative and consistent with organizational objectives.

Coordinate major releases with the change management team.

Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.

Act as key point of contact for all QE aspects of releases, providing QE services and coordinating QE resources internally and externally.

Lead in creating and defining risk contingencies and plans.

Be accountable for the test automation projects, specialty mentorship, and provide leadership to the test engineers.

Establish QE release entrance and exit criteria.

Manage, coordinate, and ensure the delivery of a release or project.

Provide leadership and guidance to build and maintain a high-performance environment.

Review the project specific test strategy.

Ensure release/project testing commitments are met within the QE team and monitor assigned QE team projects for potential impacts to target dates or other projects.

Resolve assigned release/project issues and risks and escalate.

Help create and drive a training plan (checklist) and cross training within the team.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (Required)

Additional Job Description:

Recommended field of study: computer science, information systems, or related field.

Experience in agile methodologies and SDLC.

Advanced understanding of software design, development, and architecture.

Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, test plans, performing testing, QA and debugging.

Experience with tools such as Jira/ServiceNow, test management and RPA tools, Jenkins, Github, sql, etc.

Experience level: 4+ yrs.

Previous analytical experience (problem solving, root cause analysis, etc.).

Ability to work with business and identify, solution automation testing needs.

Strong communication, experience collaborating across teams. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

Ability to create, document, verify, and execute component-level and end-to-end test plans and test cases.

Exposure to or experience in programming language.

Understanding of or expertise in automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, Maven, Eclipse, Power Automate, RPA.

Exposure to DevOps.

Understanding of or expertise in creating, maintaining, and delivering test automation framework and build.

Experience or Expertise in manual testing.

Experience with automating testing for web and mobile applications.

Experience querying databases (familiarity with SQL) and testing web services manually and via automation.

Expertise in collecting test data requirements, planning, and preparing test data for complex test scenarios.

Expertise in Defect life cycle management.

Expertise in establishing testing processes and procedures, peer reviewing, test data management, test environment management, and supporting batch processes.
