We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Architect to join our team in Chicago, IL. This role will play a key part in designing and implementing secure, scalable cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in cloud security, compliance, risk management, and hands-on experience with industry-leading security tools.
Design and architect secure cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
Ensure compliance with industry security standards, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks.
Implement and manage cloud security posture management (CSPM) tools such as Wiz, Aqua Security, SentinelOne, or similar.
Collaborate with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to integrate security best practices across the software development lifecycle.
Evaluate, select, and deploy cloud security and governance tools.
Provide expert guidance on threat modeling, risk assessment, vulnerability management, and incident response in cloud environments.
Develop and maintain security architecture documentation, policies, and standards.
Lead cloud security reviews and assessments, and provide recommendations for remediation and improvement. Required Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in IT security, with a focus on cloud environments.
Strong hands-on experience with Wiz, CSPM solutions, Aqua Security, or SentinelOne.
In-depth knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
Experience architecting and implementing secure solutions in AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Expertise in cloud security and governance tools and best practices.
Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies, DevSecOps practices, and automation.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in Chicago, IL. Preferred Qualifications:
Cloud security certifications such as:
AWS Certified Security Specialty
Microsoft Azure Security Engineer
Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer
Experience with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, or FedRAMP.
Experience with DevSecOps pipelines and security automation. Soft Skills:
Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Ability to explain complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
