The Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions must be a naturally persuasive, creative problem solver who thrives in an upbeat environment with non-standard and varied working hours. The Assistant Director should be a self-motivated, enthusiastic, goal-oriented individual with superior presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to follow directions, problem solve, manage multiple priorities, and meet goals. This position has a sales-like admissions and prospect management approach to a designated recruitment area in an environment where recruiters are responsible for reaching enrollment and net revenue goals assigned to them. Daily responsibilities include communication with a large number of prospective graduate students through heavy phone outreach. Personal e-mails, notes, individual appointments, and group presentations are also expected. This position will be involved in the planning of prospective student recruitment activities, extensive outreach, and occasional travel.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Employment duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Through heavy use of outgoing contacts via phone, email, IM, etc., cultivate, engage, grade, persuade, and close prospective graduate students
Always qualify conversation and generate next steps (application, enrollment deposit, FAFSA, registration, etc.)
Lead group information sessions and meet one-on-one with parents and prospective students to provide information and assist in the application process
Gives campus tours
Market the Graduate Education Programs to corporate, current university students, and other potential student populations by:
Meeting with executives and human resource specialists in Florida and the Southeast to discuss the benefits of Stetson's graduate programs to employees
Making arrangements for and attending job fairs, education fairs, trade organization events, professional conferences, and other professional functions to inform executives and potential students about Stetson's graduate programs
Maintaining information pertaining to corporate education reimbursement programs and specifically targeting those corporations as a part of marketing plan
Connecting with Stetson alumni and advisory board members to increase marketing effectiveness
Working with the leadership teams of graduate programs to develop and implement marketing plans
Support and work with the Graduate Programs Directors and faculty to:
Ensure the marketing messages meet the program's ability to deliver
Understand the programs processes and requirements for admissions
Update the enrollment strategies on a quarterly basis
Develop reports for the program directors and deans on a quarterly basis
Serve as a member of the graduate enrollment and retention teams in respective schools
Perform other program specific duties related to retention and administration of programs as assigned
Research, plan, and execute fall and spring travel for recruitment by evaluating previous years' productivity
Coordinate travel plans with other recruiters and supervisor
Meet with prospective students at colleges and educational fairs to inform them about the college, i.e. application process, scholarships, financial aid, programs, and campus activities
After receipt of application materials, determine and inform them of acceptance and award of scholarships; review files for acceptance and present admission recommendation to admissions committee; review files for scholarship; make financial aid packaging/depth sounding calls; administer transcript evaluation for domestic and international students; and is familiar with the accreditation of institutions and Stetson course equivalencies

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
Master's degree preferred
Experience in recruitment, marketing, retail, and other business-like environments
Experience and proficiency in Slate CRM system
