Electrical Drafter

Description of Work:

Immediate full-time position for Electrical Drafters who are proficient with AutoCAD. Candidates will be members of the engineering design/drafting team. Can be based out of Middletown, RI or New London, CT offices.

Responsibilities: Support U.S Navy system designs and development including performance of the following tasks:

Develop 2D Cabling Diagrams in accordance with Military Specifications.

Develop Wiring Tables, Elementary Wiring Diagrams, Lists of Material (LOM).

Interpret Government Furnished Information (GFI) to meet design requirements.

Update and maintain electrical drawing packages using AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel

Ensure drawings follow standards and practices.

Conduct ship checks on SSN 688/688I Class, SEAWOLF Class, VIRGINIA Class and OHIO Class (SSBN/SSGN) Class submarines.

Conduct research of submarine construction drawings using the Advanced Technical Information Support (ATIS) System.

Qualifications:

3 – 5 years professional experience.

Ability to review engineering drawings and understand required changes.

Ability to work closely with Navy military and civilian personnel.

Proficiency with AutoCAD required.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word preferred.

Technical school or bachelor’s degree a plus.

Knowledge of existing submarine systems, Military Specifications, and previous defense industry is a plus.Company Description
