Job Description
Join the largest locally owned and operated commercial waste management company in Hawaii. Honolulu Disposal Service is seeking an experienced Billing / Collections Specialist to join our growing team. As a member of the accounting team, you must be accurate and reliable in handling accounts and documents. Being good at math and a high degree of organizational ability are essential. Computer knowledge is required. The goal is to contribute to the accurate preparation of bills receivable and safeguard the company's income.
Essential Job Functions
· Review and process Sales Agreements
· Ensure accuracy of pricing and billing information
· Issue invoices to customers and updating customer files
· Communicate effectively with customers over the phone and email in order to answer questions and resolve billing and collections issues
· Process credit memos
· Update the customer database with current information
· Keep track of transactions and to follow up on discrepancies between work completed and invoice amounts and process additional charges to customers as needed

Job Requirements
· Proven experience as a billing clerk or general accounting experience.
· Organized, detail, and team oriented
· Proven success in an office environment
· Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
· Demonstrable knowledge of the billing and invoicing process
· Ability to work well with others and meet deadlines
· Strong computer technical skills, proficient in managing documents and files
· Experience working with Microsoft Excel
