Job Title: Project Manager – Commercial Cleaning & Maintenance Services

Location: Buffalo Grove, IL

Type: Full-Time – 1st shift

Reports To: Director of Operations

About Us:

We are a fast-growing commercial cleaning and building services company with a strong focus on customer retention and high-quality service delivery. Our clients span across various industries including office buildings, retail spaces, and industrial facilities. We're looking for a hands-on, client-oriented Project Manager with a background in multiple trades to lead our service delivery and help grow our client base.

Position Summary:

As the Project Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of commercial cleaning and light maintenance projects. You will manage a team of field staff, ensure client satisfaction, maintain high service standards, and help retain and attract new business. A background in trades such as carpentry, construction, or general building maintenance is essential to understanding client needs and ensuring service quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage multiple cleaning and maintenance projects across commercial properties.

Lead, schedule, and support field teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to company standards.

Act as the main point of contact for clients — handling onboarding, walkthroughs, site inspections, and ongoing communication.

Build strong relationships to retain existing clients and identify opportunities to secure new contracts.

Perform site visits to assess quality, resolve issues, and provide technical oversight.

Estimate job costs, prepare service proposals, and manage contract renewals.

Collaborate with sales and leadership teams to improve service offerings and drive business growth.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, cleanliness standards, and company policies.

Provide hands-on support when needed, particularly in areas involving light carpentry, maintenance, or construction-related issues.

Qualifications:

Proven experience (1+ year) in project or operations management within the commercial cleaning, building maintenance, or facilities services industries.

Working knowledge of trades such as carpentry, minor construction, HVAC, plumbing, or general maintenance.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills — confident in client-facing and team leadership situations.

Ability to estimate, scope, and plan work effectively.

Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

Proficiency in scheduling software.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required.

Valid driver’s license to travel between sites.
