Design Engineer

Job Summary:

We have a client in the industrial machinery manufacturing industry seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Drafter/Designer to join the team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Inventor or SolidWorks and a strong background in machinery design within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Create assembly, weldment, and component detail drawings based on master model layouts.

Perform mathematical calculations to verify dimensions and conversions.

Manage budgeted hours and timelines to ensure projects are completed on schedule.

Support various activities, including but not limited to:

Loading BOMs and drawings into SAP for replacement parts orders.

Investigating manufacturing issues related to project assignments, including verifying engineering rework.

Ensuring all drawing changes are accurately implemented

Qualifications & Requirements:

3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering drafting and design

Proficiency in Inventor or SolidWorks (AutoCAD experience is a plus).

Experience in machinery design within a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of sheet metal and welding practices

Bachelor's or Associate degree in an engineering-related field (e.g., Computer-Aided Design & Drafting, Architectural Design).

Must be able to work onsite in Flower Mound, Texas (near Dallas).
