Summary:
This position will direct and supervise the efficient operation of the multiple Nutrition programs in both Clay and Duval counties, serving eligible clients and supervising program staff. The core responsibilities of this position the Meals on Wheels Program, Senior Center Nutrition Programs, Cathedral Café Nutrition Program, Special Events Nutrition. This position will work closely with the Chief Operations Officer on a full-time basis, will serve as part of the management team and will perform the duties outlined below.
Qualifications/Requirements:
4-year degree or relevant experience in Nutritional Programs or Delivery Operations
Valid Florida Driver's License
Supervisory experience required
Previous experience working with grants/funding agencies preferred
Computer skills
Successful completion of Level II DOEA background check and pre-employment drug screening. Essential Functions:
Plan, organize and direct daily operations of all Nutrition Programs.
Manage the daily operations of the Cathedral Café Nutrition Site.
Manage the daily operations of the delivery department and its staff.
Ensure the compliance and appropriate expenditure of all Nutrition Contracts.
Train, lead and guide personnel to ensure that clients meet the eligibility requirements, and that accurate, confidential records are maintained on each individual as required by program and funding.
Supervise all Nutrition Programs staff. Authorize leave for and schedule work responsibilities to ensure high quality customer service to clients.
Act as a representative of the agency with all other agencies and the public-at-large.
Make regular reports to the Operations Division and funders regarding progress of the assigned programs.
Compile monthly, quarterly, and special reports as required by funders (DOEA, AAA, City of Jacksonville, etc.)
Assist with grant development and program feasibility studies for Aging True.
Assist with fund development activities for Nutrition Programs. Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop efficient and up-to-date procedures for employees and volunteers; work directly with staff to effect changes and solve problems as they occur.
Ensure accurate daily meal counts, daily meal delivery, prompt applicant assessments and client reassessments.
Maintain high data integrity for Agency data management computer system, as well as Department of Elder Affairs eCIRTS data management system.
Control all equipment used in daily operations, including, but not limited to, project vehicles used in meal delivery. Secure estimates of vehicle repairs and damages and make arrangements for necessary work to be performed.
Coordinate with caterer/food vendors to assure meal preparation quality standards are upheld and nutritious meals are provided. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m, but occasionally other shifts are required based on operational needs and community commitments.
Due to circumstances that may arise, additional hours may be required at times as our delivery department works generally 6am-230pm Monday-Friday to ensure meals are delivered on time to clients.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Must be able to work in a commercial kitchen and delivery environment as well. There will be times, that this person will be working or around a commercial kitchen and a fleet of commercial delivery trucks.
Requires sitting at a computer for up to eight hours a day. The person in this position frequently communicates with clients who have inquiries or questions. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
