Role Summary:

The Manufacturing & Design Project Junior Engineer plays a dual-role supporting both project engineering and technical design of modular electrical systems-such as eHouses and Switchracks. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Junior Engineer is responsible for supporting project execution, developing electrical designs, and ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance. The role requires close collaboration with the Engineering Manager, Manufacturing Lead, and Drafters.

Team Interactions and Reporting Structure:

- Reports To: Project Manager

- Collaborates With:

• Operations Director: Receives technical guidance and design standards.

• Manufacturing Lead: Supports manufacturing execution and resolves design-related issues during fabrication.

• Drafter(s): Works together to prepare, review, and revise Issue for Approval (IFA) and Issue for Construction (IFC) drawing packages.

• Manufacturing Team: Provides hands-on engineering support to ensure build quality and adherence to specifications.

Primary Responsibilities:

A. Manufacturing Project Engineering

- Assist the PM in scheduling, resource tracking, and delivery planning.

- Coordinate internally with procurement, drafting, and manufacturing to meet project deadlines.

- Support documentation and project deliverables, including:

• Cable and conduit schedules

• I/O schedules

• Material lists and reports

B. Electrical Design

- Collaborate with the Drafter and Engineering Manager to create electrical distribution and control system designs.

- Review and revise electrical drawings, ensuring readiness for IFA/IFC stages.

- Use AutoCAD or SolidWorks to generate schematics, layouts, and wiring diagrams.

- Validate designs for feasibility, manufacturability, and code compliance (NEC, UL-508A, IEC).

C. Technical Support

- Provide on-demand technical clarification to the Manufacturing Lead and shop team.

- Participate in troubleshooting and support field engineers or QA staff during testing or commissioning.

- Support continuous improvement by documenting lessons learned and proposed design enhancements.

D. Quality Assurance

- Assist in the inspection and testing of completed assemblies.

- Help maintain documentation of quality deviations and corrective actions.

- Work with the PM and Manufacturing Lead to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

- Organizational and multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D/3D, SolidWorks

- Familiarity with ETAP, SKM, or similar electrical analysis tools

- Basic experience with PLC programming tools (e.g., Rockwell Automation)

- Working knowledge of UL-508A, NEC, IEC compliance

- Exposure to project management workflows

- Understanding of industrial power and automation systems for oil & gas and data center applications
