Position Summary:

The Senior IT PMO Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing the IT Project Management Office (PMO) groups. This role involves providing comprehensive oversight for IT-related projects, integrations, and new customer implementations. The Senior IT PMO Manager will ensure that IT governance is adhered to by establishing the prioritization of projects and maintaining compliance with PMO standards. This position involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing resources, and optimizing processes to deliver high-quality IT services that support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management:

Oversee and provide leadership to the IT Project Management team.

Ensure that both teams are aligned with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.

Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and provide feedback.

Portfolio Management:

Oversee the portfolio of IT projects, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals.

Provide direction and support to the IT PMO group to ensure successful project delivery and integration efforts.

Manage the overall portfolio to balance resources, risks, and timelines effectively.

Coordinate IT integrations and new customer implementations, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with business requirements.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives and deliverables.

Governance & PMO Standards:

Establish and enforce IT governance practices to ensure all projects adhere to established PMO standards and methodologies.

Lead the project prioritization process, working with business leaders to align project priorities with organizational objectives.

Monitor project performance, providing regular updates and ensuring transparency in project status.

IT Project Management:

Lead the IT Project Management team in managing product-specific projects, system integrations, and new customer implementations.

Develop and implement project management standards, tools, and methodologies across the IT organization.

Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Monitor project progress and performance, addressing any issues or risks that may arise.

Startup and New Implementation Leadership:

Play a key role in leading IT initiatives for startups and new implementations, ensuring a smooth transition from project initiation to completion.

Coordinate with various business units and stakeholders to define IT requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

Oversee the integration of new systems, technologies, and customers into the existing IT infrastructure.

Alignment of IT Project Management:

Ensure that IT project management practices are consistent and aligned across the organization.

Promote the use of best practices and standardized processes for project management.

Work closely with other IT leaders to align IT project goals with the broader organizational strategy.

Stakeholder Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business units, customers, and vendors.

Act as the primary point of contact for IT service delivery issues, ensuring that stakeholder needs are met.

Communicate project status, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders.

Process Improvement and Optimization:

Identify opportunities for process improvement within IT project management.

Implement changes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of IT services.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continually improve service delivery.

Risk Management:

Identify and manage risks associated with the IT portfolio, including projects, integrations, and customer implementations.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.

Budget and Resource Management:

Develop and manage budgets for IT service delivery and project management activities.

Allocate resources effectively to ensure successful project execution and service delivery.

Monitor and control project costs, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

Proven experience can be substituted in lieu of.

Experience:

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in IT service delivery and portfolio management, with a focus on overseeing IT projects, integrations, and customer implementations.

Proven experience in managing IT PMO.

Certifications:

PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.

ITIL certification is preferred.

Skills:

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Comprehensive understanding of IT governance, project management, and portfolio management best practices.
