JOB SUMMARY:
Serves as a receptionist/registration clerk in the Outpatient Services Department.
Provides secretarial assistance for Cardiology, Cath Lab and Diagnostic Imaging Services, and Wound Center(s).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greets patients upon arrival to the department.
Registers patients upon arrival to the department.
Distributes reports to ordering and performing physicians.
Updates policies and procedures every three years.

EXPECTED BEHAVIORS:
Greets and registers each patient upon arrival to the department. Registration process thorough and complete with less than 1 denial rate.
Distributes reports within 24 hours of exam.
Updates policies and procedures every three years with a completion rate of 95.
Seeks educational opportunities to improve knowledge/skill.
Participates in identifying or recommending areas for improvement.
Completes work in an efficient, timely manner that is conducive to team work and cost containment.
Communicates in a clear, concise and professional manner.
Provides care following the Patient's First Commitment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Prefer High school diploma or equivalent.
Prefer Medical Terminology courses completed.
