POSITION SUMMARY

Ainsworth delivers casino games for customers around the world. The Technical Compliance (TC) department is the gating point for the submission of Ainsworth products in all gaming jurisdictions. To prepare for product submission, the Quality Assurance (QA) test team delivers results that verify conformance to standards and regulations of the gaming industry. The TC QA Engineer’s role is to test and evaluate the functionality and implementation of Electronic Gaming Machine (EGM) games, software, hardware, online games, and systems relevant regulatory and market requirements.

Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The TC QA Engineer is expected to setup and maintain testbeds, conduct testing activities, report, and record issues, and create reports related to our product’s Technical Compliance, and other quality assurance tasks as directed by management.

Evaluate all Ainsworth product lines, against technical regulatory requirements.

Follow step by step test procedures and document the results.

Use testing tools and scripts to ensure that products comply with operational guidelines and regulations.

Utilize tracking systems to update and monitor work being allocated and completed.

Working with software development teams to ensure correct implementation of games, math, and systems.

Continuously stay apprised of regulatory requirements.

Provide input on game rules, game play mechanisms, and game concepts.

Identify, report, and reproduce game anomalies and work with the development engineers to resolve.

Liaise with internal technical compliance leadership regarding regulatory submissions and/or issues.

Develop and improve the processes, procedures, and test scripts.

Maintain virtual machine based test systems including deployment systems.

Analyze automated test result data.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

At least 5 years’ experience in a technical role (STEM, School, Work, or Personal).

3 years gaming industry experience.

College degree in a related field (i.e., Math, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) or related experience.

Technical aptitude for machines and computer programs.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Refined written and verbal communication skills using Microsoft tools.

Knowledge and understanding of gaming regulatory requirements.

Knowledge and experience creating executing test scripts (manual and automated).

Test Case design skills. Execution planning to optimize test efficiency.

Understanding of math, statistics, and game specifications.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Must keep records of all test activities.

Must be able to work 40 hours a week and occasionally extra hours as needed.

Must be a responsible team player and work independently to perform a range of tasks efficiently.

Must possess a high level of personal and professional accountability.

Keep up to date on an abundant amount of data while adapting to changing requirements and priorities.

This position requires registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) and potential for other gaming jurisdictions in which we operate.
