The City of Cibolo is seeking a Police Service Assistant I. The City of Cibolo Police Service Assistant (PSA) I (Level 1) serve as a non-sworn, uniformed emergency responder who supplements sworn police officers in the investigation of offenses against state law and city ordinances. Conducts initial investigations of property crimes and collects evidence where appropriate and performs duties in support of patrol operations as specified in policy.

Our Type: Our next Police Service Assistant I understand tactful and courteous communication with members of the public. We are looking for a candidate that can work independently and in a team with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is critical for success in the role, as are high levels of accuracy, timeliness, and dependability. We are looking for someone who can provide exceptional customer service for a variety of coworkers, supervisors and the public with professionalism and patience.

The ideal candidate is hard-working, patient and detail oriented. You listen to your superiors and co-workers. You are diligent and able to multi-task, so your work gets completed in an organized fashion. You follow through and are accountable for all actions. Being at work on time is a priority along with following all safety protocols. When an emergency arises, you are not easily flustered but are willing to work hard to help in any way within the Police Department. High School graduate or General Education Degree (GED).

Valid Texas Class C Driver's License.

Cybersecurity and CJIS; must maintain.

Pre-screening includes a background check, including criminal history, psychological evaluation, polygraph examination, drug/alcohol testing, physical and motor vehicle review (MVR).

Compensation: Non-exempt FLSA status salary range is $38,498.12 - $57,747.18 (DOE); equivalates to $18.51/hr - $27.76/hr.
