Accounting Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. This role is responsible for managing financial reporting, general ledger integrity, month-end close processes, and compliance with relevant financial regulations. The ideal candidate will combine deep accounting knowledge with strong leadership and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.

Lead and coordinate the month-end and year-end closing processes.

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

Monitor and analyze accounting data, produce financial reports or statements, and recommend improvements.

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Enhance reporting through use of data analytics and tools while also driving efficiency

Coordinate and support external audits and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.

Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies and procedures.

Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).

Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience

Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
