Job Description
SGS, LLC is a General Contractor / Design-Builder with an opening for a Project Manager for commercial construction projects for both government and non-government clients.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation
Supervise and manage onsite personnel and subcontractors
Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, government officials, city and county officials, and clients
Negotiate with contractors, clients, owner, etc. as necessary
Maintain high standards of workmanship
Allocate resources for assigned projects
Qualifications:
Experience on commercial construction projects (minimum 2 years)
Experience on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects preferred
Degree in Construction Management / Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
Ability to develop and update project schedules using Primavera scheduling software preferred
Ability to favorably negotiate contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders
Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
Familiarity with RMS software preferred
Strong leadership qualities
Strong negotiation skills
Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines

Our in-house staff includes DBIA professionals, LEED professionals, certified schedulers and support staff. To provide Design Build services, SGS teams with various architectural/engineering firms across the U.S. who specialize in the project’s specific requirements. SGS operates primarily in the Central United States area, but occasionally pursues projects outside this six state region. SGS is an active member of the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA); the National HUBZone Council; and, a sustaining member of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME).
