Must Haves:

Field Background: Must have prior field experience and currently be working in an office role overseeing programs.

Strong Construction Background

Project Management: Minimum of 4 years as a Project Manager, with at least 7 years of experience in telecom or a similar role.

AT&T Experience*: Ideally, candidates should have established relationships within AT&T.

Must be local to Irvine.

Must be willing to work from the office 3 days a week.

Description:

Senior Construction Manager is responsible for all technical aspects of telecommunications equipment deployment and ASP management at assigned jobs/venues, including but not limited to:

Ensuring the appropriateness of the site for deployment

Recommending or selecting suppliers

Identifying and validating scope items with RF and suppliers

Determining and managing the distribution of equipment and materials

Managing site access

Planning and scheduling installation and construction

Setting project schedules, forecasting, and sequencing of work

Monitoring progress and milestones

Acting as company's representative for supplier deliverables, inspections, and safety issues

Conducting audits and ensuring completion to company and customer standards

Managing punch lists and budget

Coordinating with and supporting Customer Project Managers

Delegating administrative tasks to support teams

The IBCM supports the Sr. CM on complex projects and works with the Remote Construction Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

To ensure proper and timely deployment of telecommunications equipment, the IBCM is responsible for:

1. Feasibility Walks:

Perform walks with data collection SP.

Establish venue POC for access/scheduling.

Identify conflicts and roadblocks using iBwave.

Validate routing and equipment placement.

2. Scope and Planning:

Analyze SOW and BOM.

Ensure alignment with RF design and throughput requirements.

Recommend revisions when necessary.

3. Deployment Management:

Evaluate job appropriateness.

Resolve access and material deficiencies.

Create construction plans and schedules.

Review job status and adjust as needed.

Interface with internal/external stakeholders.

Conduct audits and safety reviews.

4. Training and Support:

Mentor ASPs, RCMs, and other personnel.

5. Reporting:

Collaborate with Senior and Remote CMs to prepare reports and presentations.

6. Supplier Coordination:

Drive issue resolution with Service Providers and suppliers.

7. Performance Feedback:

Provide feedback for annual evaluations.

8. RF Collaboration:

Work with RF design teams to identify optimal small cell and DOT system locations.

9. Other Duties:

Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Senior CM.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum 7+ years in a related role

Degree preferred; technical or trade coursework in MCA Small Cell RAN systems (DOT, PDAS, ODAS)

Experience in RF design collaboration

In-building and venue experience

Contractor management and construction scope estimation

Familiarity with Ericsson and customer standards

Strong troubleshooting and site feasibility skills

Understanding of permitting, leasing, and regulatory compliance

OSHA 30-hour certification required

Experience with Ericsson equipment is a plusCompany Description
