About Us:
Our Adult Residential Program provides safe, supportive, and person-centered living environments for adults with developmental disabilities. We focus on enhancing quality of life through individualized support and skill-building opportunities.
Your Role:
As a Behavior Intervention Specialist, you will develop and oversee behavior support plans tailored to the unique needs of the individuals in our care. You’ll collaborate with teams to promote positive outcomes and ensure a safe, nurturing environment.
Program: Childrens Residential Program (5-22yrs)
Location: Huntington or Smithtown, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift: Monday-Friday: 8am-4pm or 9am 5pm (opportunity for remote day and no weekends!)
Pay:50,336.00-$60,403.20/yr
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop behavior support plans.
· Train staff on implementing support plans and managing challenging behaviors.
· Monitor progress and update plans as needed.
· Provide direct interventions and model strategies for staff.
· Document and report behavioral data to support planning and compliance.
· Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
Requirements/Qualifications:
· Education: Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field (required).
· Certification: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential (preferred).
· Experience: Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities (required).
· Strong analytical, organizational, and training skills.
