Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Linux & Automation Engineer with extensive experience in Linux system administration and Ansible automation, along with a strong foundation in communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience and the confidence to contribute ideas and challenge assumptions. This role also requires a willingness to work occasional nights and weekends to support mission-critical operations and participate in on-call rotations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Manage, maintain, and optimize Linux systems (primarily RHEL or compatible distributions) across enterprise and hybrid environments.

Design and implement reliable, scalable Ansible playbooks and roles to automate infrastructure deployment and configuration.

Investigate and resolve complex system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.

Collaborate cross-functionally with security, application, and network teams to ensure infrastructure reliability and alignment with organizational goals.

Document system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting workflows to support transparency and knowledge sharing.

Participate in team meetings and project discussions, offering clear input and advocating for technical best practices.

Support critical systems during off-hours, including evenings and weekends, as part of an on-call schedule or planned maintenance windows.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years' experience in Linux system administration and automation engineering.

Advanced proficiency with Ansible, including reusable playbook and role development.

Deep understanding of Linux internals, system security, performance tuning, and package management.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and voice ideas or concerns effectively.

Willingness to work outside regular business hours when required to support high-availability systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with RHEL or some favor of Linux and hybrid infrastructure.

Red Hat certifications such as RHCSA or RHCE.

Familiarity with Git-based workflows, Infrastructure as Code, and other automation tools (e.g., Terraform).

Background in enterprise IT, managed services, or large-scale operational support.
