Job Summary: River Stone Hospitality Group is seeking a talented and experienced Catering Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating exceptional culinary experiences and a strong background in catering and event planning. As a Catering Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Executive Chef to ensure the highest quality of food and service for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Chef in planning and executing catering menus for a variety of events, including weddings, corporate functions, and private parties.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
Oversee food preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish.
Collaborate with the catering team to develop innovative and seasonal menu offerings.
Manage inventory and order supplies as needed, maintaining cost control and minimizing waste.
Ensure timely and efficient delivery of catering services, coordinating with event planners and clients to meet their specific needs.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a catering or high-volume restaurant setting.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Creative and innovative approach to menu planning and food presentation.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
