Position Overview: In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facility and equipment, minimizing downtime, and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and functionality of our equipment, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Location: Riverside, CA
Payrate: $26.00-$31.00/hr.
Schedule: Mon-Fri (some Saturdays) 4:00 PM-12:45 AM plus OT as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
Complete assigned preventive maintenance and maintenance work orders on time.
Ensure all equipment repairs and installations comply with food safety standards and regulatory agency requirements.
Prepare job kits for corrective repairs, ensuring availability of required tools and materials.
Communicate issues or concerns that do not meet company expectations to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Maintain mechanical systems for all processing, packaging, ancillary, and utility plant equipment to prevent downtime in the main processing facility, receiving yards, warehouses, boilers, and air compressors.
Ensure that processing and packaging equipment operates at peak efficiency, contributing to the timely production of products within budget.
Complete all work orders promptly and accurately.
Perform preventive maintenance and timely repairs on all assigned equipment.
Ensure temporary repairs have corresponding work orders for permanent solutions to prevent future downtime.
Conduct weekly plant inspections, identify deficiencies or concerns, and communicate findings to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Adhere to company safety and food safety policies at all times.
Follow Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures when working on equipment to ensure safety.
Collaborate with other line mechanics on repairs or other tasks as needed.
Abide by company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and LOTO procedures.
Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Qualifications:
Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Experience with electrical systems, including the use of multimeters, motors, contactors, and frequency drives.
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
Knowledge of boilers and air compressors.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in using Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
Familiarity with powertrain systems (e.g., gearboxes, motors, sprockets, pulleys, chains, belts).
Experience in proper lubrication of mechanical components such as bearings and chains.
Ability to read, write, and speak in English; Spanish language skills are preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including professional journals, schematics, engineering designs, CAD drawings, and regulatory guidelines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
Skilled in using hand tools, shop tools, and precision maintenance tools (e.g., micrometers, dial indicators, calipers).
Strong practical problem-solving skills using data and common sense.
Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
Capable of managing competing demands while delivering timely results.
Effective communication skills to interact with all facility teams and present information to managers and customers.
Experience overseeing in-house projects and coordinating with external contractors for both small and large projects.
Ability to gather materials, tools, and documentation needed for both planned and reactive maintenance work.
Strong sense of responsibility and punctuality, with the ability to arrive at work on time and ready to contribute.
Ability to act quickly and effectively in problem situations.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 7 years of industrial maintenance experience, with preference for candidates with 5+ years at a single company.
Working Conditions:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment.
Adhere to standardized work procedures and safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and climb stairs as needed.
Elevated equipment noise levels requiring hearing protection.
Seasonal temperature variations in the work environment.
Must consistently wear and use all required protective and safety equipment as directed by the company.
