JOB TITLE: Quality Control Technician, Concrete Industry

LOCATION: Milwaukee, WI

COMPENSATION: $25-30/hr

OVERVIEW: Our client, a family-owned and operated concrete supplier, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Control Technician to join its team.

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for monitoring the quality and compliance of concrete production, ensuring standards are upheld in both the yard and on job sites. This hands-on role involves collaboration with drivers, dispatch, and operations staff, along with consistent adherence to safety and testing protocols.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Monitor and ensure quality and compliance of concrete produced

· Collaborate with Batchmen, Drivers, Yardmen, and Dispatch to identify and resolve production issues

· Assist drivers with troubleshooting issues in the yard and on job sites

· Sample, cast, transport, and check in concrete test cylinders according to lab procedures

· Observe 3rd-party testing on job sites to ensure compliance with American Concrete Institute (ACI) standards

· Promote and maintain safety on job sites and in the yard; assist with vehicle movement as needed

· Enter test data using the Quadrel mobile app

· Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures and Engineering protocols

· Provide additional support to the Lab department as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

· Active American Concrete Institute (ACI) Certification required

· Strong communication and customer service skills in a technical setting

· Solid problem-solving ability

· Background in concrete or building industry preferred
