Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Tax and Audit Manager to join our leadership team. This key role will be responsible for overseeing and executing complex audit engagements and tax compliance for a variety of clients, including closely held businesses, non-profits, and high-net-worth individuals. The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of progressive public accounting experience and is looking to make a long-term impact in a respected and collegial firm.

Responsibilities:

Manage and review tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, and nonprofit)

Lead audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning to issuance

Serve as the primary point of contact for client communications and relationship management

Supervise and mentor junior and mid-level staff, conduct performance evaluations

Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and tax regulations and standards

Identify opportunities for client tax planning and advisory services

Assist in firm management, process improvements, and strategic planning

Collaborate with partners to develop new business and expand existing client relationships

Qualifications:

CPA license required

Minimum of 10 years of recent public accounting experience, with strong experience in both tax and audit

Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role

Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and federal/state tax codes

Excellent communication, organizational, and client-service skills

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Ultra Tax, QuickBooks, and Excel)
