CNC Machinist - Precision Parts Manufacturing

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Pay: $20 - $30 per hour (depending on experience)
Location: Shelby Township, Michigan (Must reside within a reasonable 30-minute commute)

We are a thriving manufacturing company in Shelby Township, Michigan, seeking a talented individual to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the programming, setup, and operation of CNC machinery to produce high-quality components. You will collaborate closely with engineers and other team members to achieve production goals while upholding our commitment to exceptional quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Operate CNC lathe machines and other related equipment with precision and efficiency.
Program CNC machines using CAM programming software to meet exact specifications.
Set up tooling and fixtures accurately for various machining operations.
Utilize precision measuring instruments to meticulously inspect finished parts for adherence to technical drawings and specifications.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and proactively troubleshoot any production issues.
Assemble components as necessary, ensuring precise fit and functionality.
Employ hand tools effectively for fine adjustments and repairs.
Set up and operate Bridgeport and Manual lathes as required.
Read and interpret G & M codes with proficiency.
Load and unload parts into fixtures for efficient machining and metal removal processes.
Conduct in-process inspections and perform deburring to guarantee part accuracy.
Make precise tool offsets, adjustments, and compensations as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment, always adhering to safety protocols.
Experience and Skills:
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar role within a manufacturing setting.
Demonstrated proficiency in CAM programming and the operation of both milling machines and lathes.
Comprehensive knowledge of tooling, fixtures, and precision measuring instruments.
Solid basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations related to machining processes.
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality control.
Experience operating Hi-Lo and Overhead cranes is considered a plus.
