Overview

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and cherry pickers, to ensure efficient materials handling and movement within the warehouse. This role is critical in supporting our logistics operations and maintaining a well-organized inventory system.

Responsibilities

Operate the sit-down forklift to transport materials throughout the warehouse.

Load and unload products from delivery trucks and containers while ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.

Build and organize pallets for storage or shipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance needs.

Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve efficiency in materials handling processes.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Assist in inventory management by accurately tracking product movements within the warehouse.

Experience

Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred.

Strong understanding of materials handling best practices and safety regulations.

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.

Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.

**MUST have a valid driver's license.

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

10 hour shift

8 hour shift

Monday to Friday

Night shift

Overnight shift

Overtime

Weekends as needed
