CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

Job Description

Peoplelink Staffing, in partnership with a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a CNC Machinist to join their team!

Job Summary:

• Pay: Competitive and based on experience

• Shifts Available:

2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) to manufacture precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications

• Perform basic quality checks on finished products using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools

• Monitor machine performance, adjust settings, and perform routine maintenance to ensure efficiency and accuracy

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and CAD/CAM programs to determine machining requirements

• Adhere to proper production processes and follow all safety and machine safety guidelines

• Maintain accurate documentation for each job, including machine settings and inspection results

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED is required; technical certification in CNC machining is a plus

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably in a job shop environment

• Proficient in operating CNC mills and lathes, with a strong understanding of machining principles

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM programs

• Strong knowledge of measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) and their proper use

• Familiarity with programming languages such as G-code and M-code is preferred

• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs. repeatedly

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
